Last Saturday, while @ Mc. Donalds, Yes.. I am talking about the huge yellow M logo on red background fast food outlets, known worldwide, extremely famous, most sought after food chain.. the one that “if you haven’t heard of it, you must have been an alien” food chain. That’s the one.

My brother Ben, and his family had a horrible nightmare.. at their premises that night... an incident, I suppose that will haunt him and his family forever. According to Ben, after they sat down, had the food on the table, their kids started to have their meal. He and his wife just started to unwrap their burgers. The couple ordered hot coffee, so, the drinks would be delivered to them in a while.

Finally when the coffee was sent to them, the waiter “accidently” spilled the TWO very HOT coffees on their youngest son (Jeffrey - 3 yrs old) who happened to sit in the baby’s chair next to them. Jeffrey screamed in pain, everyone in there panicked. The waiter immediately cried and apologised a million times.. They took Jeffrey to the hospital immediately. The next day, people from Mc.Donalds came over to their house. They came to apologise on behalf of Mc.Donalds .. and compensate them with 2 miserable food voucher amounting to $200.

WTF? What? Is that all they could give? I'm speechless at McDonalds - I know accidents can and do happen, but still! $200 in food vouchers is just an insult!!. As if any self-respecting parent would accept that for to compensate their child's injuries.

Caution !! 2 pics of scalded little Jeffrey.

Here’s little Jeffrey - day 1

Day 4 – The skin was peeled right off. Ouch!

I dragged myself to KLCC. Kids needs their supply. Bored. Waited forever for C and A to decide on ‘what book do I want for the holidays’. I sat on a bench at the void area and started to take these pics. I was bored.. waiting.. waiting...tick tock - tick tock - tick tock..
did I mention I was bored?

I started to notice that every frame is captured equally balanced. They looked symmetrical. Awesome!

That's the escalator

The foyer

The lifts

The roof

Conclusion; Waiting wasn’t so bad.

This is our final lesson this year. There were only 3 students in my class .. the rest went for holidays,
balik kampung and overseas and such.
*eye roll* I hope to go somewhere too.. soon. Sigh!

Mr. Ong Zhe Xuen. .. paying particular attention to the blueberries =) ..
He's extremely shy, smiles a lot.. but very gifted. He sees details in the colouring.. Not many of my students are capable of that. Awesome!

Young master Yudesh. He's improved so much since he first got here. I'm dancing my happy dance .. hope to see him back here in 2010.

Sze Lin. She looks nice and all prim and proper in the picture.. but honestly.. she hits me with a metal ruler a few times. I have video on that,.. and definitely putting it on You Tube. *wicked grin* Here.. she's doing a portrait of her uncle. I hope it turns out well for her.

See everyone in 2010!!
We'll have a great year ahead! ...as Captain Jack would simply put it

"Bring me that Horizon!"

"Art, Is not what you see, It's what you made others see"

Since my college years, I have been in love with these great masters's paintings. Their work are very inspirational. Many of my earlier works, especially my fashion designs sketckes and illustrations are influenced by them. I don't have any of my art pieces to show you guys today =( But, seriously, I love their pencil / charcoal / brush strokes style, their choice of colours and the way they compose everything in the layout. Basically I am in awe of their gestural strokes styles.

I still am, even now.. Huzzah to them!

I finally saw "The Reader" last night. WOW!!
I fell apart and was crying a river. It tugs me, really .. especially the last 20 mins scene. I can identify with both character, Hana and Michael, *blush* been there myself - the years of loving and longing for someone whom you know will never be with you. Well, I got past him... but 'canteen' scene reminded me of a certain something that I have been trying to forget about him.

*sigh* That's life.

I am *squeeing* .. grinning silly since 10.00am this morning... Right NOW, I just wanna roll on the floor and laugh.. and cry.. and maybe do both!! Why not? WHY ever not??? So, DONT STOP ME NOW!!!

My son, that boy made my day! HE REALLY DID! he scored 5A (for all the subjects he has taken) in UPSR. *more squee* Last night I couldn't even sleep.. I was soooooooo worried. He came to me and said "Are you okay if I didnt get 5A?" I just smiled and hugged him. "I love you more than anything else in the world" was my answer.

He called me at 10.00am while I was at work just now and broke the news... obviously he was too excited with the result.. he was in tears (of joy) when he told me that. I was suddenly overwhelmed and started crying too. That boy! I am only seeing him later tonight.. 9 hours from now...and surely I am going to hug him tight! and kiss him and kiss him again and again till he can't stand it!

*SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
=D

That's (right) the man of the hour! Awww.. I'm sooooo happy!

That's him and his sister during the 'Khatam Quran' ceremony in the school.

WobblyLeggedRumSoaked

[full image]

I bought a new car in December 08. This new baby, which is named "The Black Pearl" is the love of my life now. I have been in love with her for so many years since the batch came out in.. 2005. Finally.. with divine intervention that happened on Dec 4th last year, this HOT baby is mine.

WooHooo!! The driving experience is just.. simply awesome!

I have that design up there  "
Wobbly Legged Rum Soaked" made since January. Planning to get it cut into some cool stickers for my Pearl. But as per usual.. all things I plan NEVER get to be realised, *sigh* I am too darn lazy .. plus i kept forgetting things.

Finally the stickers are ready, after almost 8 months in the freezer.  This afternoon, my Black Pearl is docked at my porch.. proudly, with that sticker snugly stuck at her bum..
The pirate in me is happy, smirking smugly. Aye, I really do feel like a pirate today.

Langkawi Island, Malaysia.

Here's my holiday destination (with my family of course) since 1992. We have been going there every year in December or September- depending. Last year we went there twice. Yes! we LOVE that island that much. Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 tropical islands (or 104, depending on tide) off the north-western coast of Peninsular Malaysia, about 30km from Kuala Perlis on the mainland.

Look at the pics and tell me how NOT to love this island. =D

This is Mat Chinchang  mountain. The AMAZINGLY AWESOME view could only be enjoyed at the mountain top, and you need to take a ride in the cable car to get you there. Forget it if you are afraid of heights. The view from the top of the mountain is simply spectacular. You have to see it yourself to believe me.

Yes, that's a hanging bridge!!

Pregnant Maiden's Island. One of Langkawi's famous islands, known for it's myths and legends. It is the second largest island in the archipelago. The island gets its name from a legend that surrounds the freshwater lake, Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden) It's just so AMAZING.. unbelievable .. that there's a freshwater lake, in the middle of the ocean ... It's believed that taking a dip in the lake will enable any barren women to bear children, or if they drink water from the lake. The legend is that the lake bestows fertility.
I dont know if it's true... never tried =D

Singa Besar Island - Is known for EAGLES. There's hundreds of them during the eagle feeding session - for the tourists.

This is Beras Basah Island, one of Langkawi's beautiful islands.

This is the Marina Bay. There's lots of boats and sloops .. and ships. =D

Chenang beach: Absolutely beautiful sunset. There's rows of chalets, hotels, motels and resorts there. All depending on your budget XD! There's also night market / bazaar there, and for lunch and dinner, there's variety of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Western and Thai food available.

Hmm ...YUMMY!!!

Tanjung Rhu Beach - just putting it in four words guys, .. "pristine white sandy beach"
Hhmmm.. just look at these pics, simply spectacular!!

We are going back to Langkawi in December.
I can't wait :-)
